Locating sites

On occasion you can locate a site which has a specific research focus which aligns with your interest. These are more often than not university based. So how do you go about finding them? Like a lot of searching, it is more akin to detective work. You may have come across a useful paper. That gives you names of people. More often than not it should also give you affiliations, i.e. where they work1. Visit the university site and see whether or not there is some kind of research group or concentration that the person you used as a lead belongs to. If you find one it will help you position the work in a particular context.
